Twelve-part thriller “Hidden Assets” by Emmy-nominated Thaddeus O’Sullivan, produced by Saffron Moon, Facet4Media & Potemkino for RTÉ, Super Channel & Acorn TV and written by Peter McKenna (“Red Rock”), Morna Regan, Mary Fox and Marty Thornton. (“Into the Storm”) and leading Belgian director Kadir Ferratti Balsi (“Could Courage”). The second season of Hidden Assets was co-funded by Screen Ireland and Creative Europe Media.
The second series, which first aired on RTÉ Ireland in September this year, stars Nora-Jane Noone (“The Ibcress File”), Wooter Hendricks (“Undercover”) and Simone Kirby (“His Darkest Materials”). Angeline Paul (“Doc Martin”) also appeared in the first season. Nicky Davies Williams, CEO of DCT Rights, said: “We are delighted to be expanding the reach of this superbly produced, compelling drama series to even more international platforms and broadcasters.”
Returning to Ireland after Richard Melnick’s memorial service, Bibi (Kirby) fears her father-in-law’s cronies have unfinished business. So he turns to the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) with an offer: immunity and impunity in exchange for information. However, there have been changes in the CAB and the new team leader, DS Claire Wallace (Noone), is less willing to deal with Bibi than her predecessor. But when coordinated cyber attacks on CAB and the Belgian counter-terrorism unit are linked to the Branigan case, Claire has no choice.
