Jason Joseph convinces again this year. At the Madrid meeting, the European indoor champion equaled the Swiss record over 110m hurdles in 13.10 seconds, which he last improved at the beginning of June at the Diamond League meeting in Florence.

In the victory in the Spanish capital, the man from Basel defeated the powerful Frenchman Wilhelm Belucian, among others. Joseph retired to training camp at the end of June after the Athletissima in Lausanne.

Another promise

Now the 24-year-old has opened the second half of the summer season brilliantly. His next appearance will be next weekend at the Swiss Championships in Bellinzona.
