Who will succeed Hansi Flick as coach of the German national football team? The search for a new national coach continues. HSV legend Felix Magath will have the confidence to take over the German national football team and lead it to the domestic European Championship.
“In my opinion, we desperately need someone to bring back this completely insecure team, which can no longer live up to its potential,” said Magath NDR 90.3. “And I think I can get teams back on their feet and give them enough confidence to perform well again.”

Magath as a player Celebrating huge success with HSV and as a coach who made Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg champions, he sees himself in a position to lead DFB-Elf back to its old strength.
“Sometimes I’ve led teams from the bottom of the table into midfield or even back to the top of the Bundesliga,” explained the 70-year-old. “And I think this is what the German Football Association needs at the moment.”

The German national team suffered a crushing defeat by Japan, 4-1, on Saturday in Wolfsburg. One day later, the federation parted ways with national team coach Hans Flick. On Tuesday (9pm, live on Erste and on NDR.de) in Dortmund, the team will be sponsored by DFB sporting director Rudi Völler in collaboration with youth director Hannes Wolf and former national player Sandro Wagner.
Fuller: New national coach before trip to the United States
Fuller wants to introduce a new national coach before he travels to two international matches in the United States on October 9. “Our main task now is to find a national coach relatively quickly,” the German Football Association’s sports director said on Monday evening.
