The factory building game Satisfactory has been in Early Access for nearly five years, but that will soon be ending. The developers at Coffee Stain Studios announced that there will be no Update 9 immediately following Update 8 which was released in November. Instead, Ndie full version 1.0 is on the agenda.
Roadmap to the full version
The developers have reportedly been working on this since 2021. After the release of Update 5, the team seems to be divided, and while half of the team took care of the new updates, the other half worked on version 1.0. At the end of last year, it was decided to merge the teams again and work full-time on the official release version from now on.
No specific date has been revealed, but the developers have only outlined a rough roadmap. So it should happen this year. Instead of a beta branch, there will be a closed beta that players can sign up for You can register now. Additionally, a video series will start soon where the developers want to introduce the upcoming features. So far it has only been revealed that dedicated servers will also be fixed. Additionally, the full version of Satisfactory will bring new content, bug fixes, and a revised endgame.

For more details, we'll probably have to wait until Coffee Stain Studios reveals more. It has already been made clear that development should continue after version 1.0. Right now, the developers probably don't know themselves in any way. For example, it will be possible to imagine free updates, as before. Alternatively, there could also be paid DLC, which should then recoup additional development costs.
