Coldplay comes to Zurich
This will probably be the highlight of Switzerland’s party in 2023: Coldplay is coming to the Letzigrund Stadium in Zurich on July 1 with its “World Ball Music Tour”.

When they staged concerts in various stadiums in Europe this summer with the World Ball Music Tour, Swiss fans still had to look down the tube. But now they can be happy: on July 1, 2023, Coldplay will stop in Switzerland with their current tour.
The British were last in our country in 2016, and now they are back. They brought a great show with them: they celebrated the Costa Rica premiere in March, and yesterday held the last of six sold-out concerts at London’s Wembley Stadium. The alternative band also set new standards in other cities. At the Stade de France in Paris alone, they broke the stadium record with four sold-out concerts and an audience of 318,331.
Sustainability with BMW Car Batteries
The band around star Chris Martin, 45, also believes that the sustainability of their show matters: At nearly all of their tour locations, events are “orchestrated” entirely using renewable energy, according to organizer Live Nation. This is possible with BMW’s first battery system of 40 electric car batteries, and “solar panels and wind turbines are installed at every event site”.
Audiences can also generate their own energy using electric bicycles and a special kinetic dance floor. “A 50 percent reduction in emissions from the tour has been pledged,” Live Nation said. There are also incentives for fans to “travel green transportation” and a tree is planted for every ticket sold.
Pre-sales start from Thursday
In addition to the Zurich concert, Coldplay has also announced concerts in Sweden, Denmark, Portugal, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom today. There are also other dates in North America and Asia. There were hints of more data last week in the “Human Man” clip, where, among other things, a poster with the inscription “Zurich” can be seen in an apartment. Now it became clear to the fans why.
