Book a daycare place through the online portal

Noved. Since January 1, 2021, all parents have access to an important online portal to register their children in a day care center using ‘webKiTa Neuwied’. But what exactly is behind “webKiTa”? This online portal is an information and registration page for allocating places in Neuwied day care centers.

“We created webKiTa to create a reliable database of daycare center needs,” stresses Mayor Peter Young. “Parents can, for example, learn about the various facilities and book their children for up to ten daycare centers online.” It is important to note that places are reserved exclusively via this portal. On the contrary, this means that registration by parents in on-site day care centers is no longer possible. “Of course, personal contact with a daycare center is still desirable and recommended,” Young explains. “Parents can easily visit the daycare center of their choice, learn more about the on-site facility and then book it via webKiTa.” One thing to note here: Reservation does not guarantee a place. The reservation list is the basis for the subsequent allocation of places in the facility. This is done in accordance with certain legal standards and provisions by the relevant daycare center management or sponsors. Each individual case is examined. So a basic statement regarding the waiting time cannot be given.

If you have other questions or do not have an Internet connection, you can contact the municipality’s Youth Welfare Office, the Department of Day Care and Children’s Day Care Centers. It can be reached on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8.30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1.30 p.m. to 4 p.m. and on Wednesdays and Fridays from 8.30 a.m. to 12 noon by calling (0 26 31) 80 21 58. From It is also possible to visit the day care center directly during the scheduled service times – it is preferable to schedule an appointment in advance.
