Two stars from central Switzerland now sit alongside Dieter Bohlin on the “Germany in Search of the Star” jury.

What a commercial success in our region of Germany! Both Beatrice Egli and Loredana are new members of the “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” (DSDS) jury.

For Beatrice Egli (35) from Schwyz, it marks a return to the place where she achieved great success. In 2013 she won the Deutschland sucht den Superstar DSDS award, which marked the beginning of an intense career. She has just given a triumphant concert at KKL Lucerne. She shares a DSDS past with Pietro Lombardi, who won in 2011 and completes the four-person jury.

On the other hand, rapper Loredana from Emmenbrücke LU (28 years old) has no casting past. So it will be interesting to see how she handles the whole thing. Like Beatrice Egli, Loredana is also one of the greats in the genre. She has 1.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and some of her songs have reach numbers approaching 100 million. Loredana has also made headlines in Germany because she is now in a relationship with German national footballer Karim Adeyemi.

DSDS dinosaur Dieter Bohlen is very excited to serve on the jury with the two central Swiss women: “It will be very interesting because Beatrice Egli and Loredana will of course have very different opinions.”

Egli bested DSDS last year

Actually it was from right to left It was announced that the twentieth season will be the last this year. While up to 15 million people watched the first season in 2002/03, only two million have watched television recently. But then Bohlen surprisingly announced a sequel in 2024. He says “DSDS” has “amazing distribution” via streaming, including on Instagram and TikTok. As always, the new season will be broadcast on RTL from January, the exact start date is not yet known.

RTL may also have chosen Beatrice Egli as a jury member because last year’s “The Beatrice Egli Show” on ARD had more viewers than the DSDS finale.
