Arsenal lose top spot – Barcelona again without a goal

Union Berlin – Bochum 1: 1

West Ham 2-2 Arsenal

The Premier League leaders drop points again. Arsenal, like Liverpool the previous week, also broke away from West Ham with a 2-2 draw. Although “Arsenal” had already led 2-0 after ten minutes and goals from Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard, the lead over Manchester City was reduced to four points. The Citizens, who beat Leicester City 3-1 on Saturday, have played one game less.

Arsenal should be particularly hurt by Bukayo Saka’s missed penalty. The England international fell just short of making it 3-1 in the 52nd minute. Atletico Madrid 2-1 Almeria

Diego Simeone’s side have scored six points over rivals Real Madrid in just their last five games. With eight laps to go, the lead was only two points, but the derby was already played.

The match winner in the win over Almeria was Antoine Griezmann who twice gave Atlético the lead. Jose Gimenez equalized with an own goal.
