Samsung relaunches the Galaxy Tab A series: The Galaxy Tab A9 and Galaxy Tab A9+ are now available in Germany starting at €229 and €299 respectively and promise powerful performance and up-to-date software. Our colleague Andrei Tokarski I took a closer look at the two new entry-level tablets and it shows just how different they are from each other.
Differences in screen and front camera
The first difference is the screen. As expected, this is larger on the Plus model: it offers an 11-inch display and a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and 90 Hz. The Tab A9, on the other hand, has an 8.7-inch display with 60Hz and a somewhat lower resolution of 1340 x 800 pixels. Both displays do not have S-Pen support.

The front camera resolution is also different, because while the Galaxy Tab A9’s resolution is 2MP, the Tab A9+’s resolution is 5MP. The resolution of the main camera is 8 megapixels in both cases. Another difference: The Tab A9 has two speakers, while the Tab A9+ has twice as many.
Similar performance
Each tablet has a different processor: the Tab A9 is a Mediatek Helio G99, and the Tab A9+ is a Snapdragon 695 5G. There’s also up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. A first look at the benchmarks shows that the two tablets are equally powerful and deliver similar results to the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2022.
