Geneva ranked seventh with the Canadian city of Calgary, according to The Economist’s classification, which was published Thursday evening. The city in western Switzerland lost one place compared to the previous year.

While their rankings have not deteriorated significantly, cities in Asia and the Middle East are catching up. The report said some Asian capitals have benefited from the region’s recovery from the pandemic. Paris landed in 24th place. According to the authors of the studies, the mass demonstrations against pension reform affected the ranking of the French capital, which ranked 19th last year. According to the analysis, Damascus, Tripoli, Lagos and Kiev are currently among the ten most unattractive cities in the world.
30 criteria were assessed in five categories: stability, healthcare, education, culture, environment and infrastructure. Vienna scored well in everything. The only drawback was the lack of major sporting events.
