Liga agrees to change ownership of Yverdon

A change of ownership in Yverdon is perfect. The Swiss Football League Licensing Commission has agreed to change the majority structure of FC Vaud. Former president Mario Di Petrantonio sold 90 percent of his shares to American investors. American Jeffrey Saunders is Di Pietrantonio’s new successor.

Double for Yverdon

Midfielder Ricardo Alves leaves St. Gallen and is now playing for newly promoted Yverdon. The 21-year-old from Geneva made his debut in the Swiss top flight in 2019. Defender Mohamed Tijani joined from Benin on loan, with an option to buy from Viktoria Pilsen (CZ).

GC brings Abels

Grasshoppers announced the signing of Dirk Abels. The 26-year-old right-back is moving from Sparta Rotterdam to Limmat on a free transfer. During his time in Rotterdam, the Dutchman played 146 matches.

Araz returned to Winterthur

FC Winterthur signed midfielder Musa Araz for two seasons. The 29-year-old recently played 3 tournaments with FC Sion. Araz already played for Winterthur in 2015/16.
