His face is known like no other in Switzerland. Sven Epiney has been delighting SRF audiences for 30 years.
The presenter participated in about 3,500 programs and directed more than 30 formats.
But he never lost the joy in his job. “There are always other challenges,” Ebini explains. It's not like a “Tagesschau”.
And the next big thing is coming soon: Along with Viola Tami, the character will host Saturday night “Music Star – Renaissance Show”.

When he was 13 years old, Ibini took his first steps in the world of media. His journey began with a small radio in Bern.
In 1993, a call from Swiss television changed his life. Epiney was invited to the cast for three days and was impressed. Now he had to decide. Should he turn his life upside down, go to Zurich and camp in Bern?
He had one day to make a decision. Looking back, Ibini says, “It was a tough 24 hours.” He could have flipped a coin. But then I decided on TV.
Sven Ebini also found happiness in his private life. In 2019 he made a comment during the program “May I Ask?” A proposal to his long time friend.
