Before returning against Andreas Doble
Reichmuth is stronger than ever despite the cold
No other great wrestler has had to endure as much pain as Bermaine Richmouth in recent years. Now, preparations for his return are not going as hoped.

Pirmin Reichmuth had to deal with several severe setbacks. He always did it with flying colors. Between 2014 and 2018, he was tied up with three cruciate ligament tears in his right knee, but the 1.98 meter heavyweight 130kg giant triumphed in 2019 in style in Brünig. In the same year, he took third place in the Swiss Confederation on his doorstep.
Four cruciate ligament tears in six years
But since then, this huge talent has not competed. After all wreath festivals were canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic, Reichsmuth threw in again in the spring of 2021 due to a rupture of the fourth cruciate ligament. This time he hit his left knee. “If my right knee was injured again, I would have had to end my career because there were no spare parts for the operation in that aspect.”
But now that his doctors have easily mastered the new intervention, the fighter from Central Switzerland is about to return for the fifth time. On Sunday he will join the local confederate forces in canton Aargau. Expectations in central Switzerland are huge ahead of this session. “Bermin has made a great impression in the past few weeks in his wrestling practice sessions,” that is what Obwalden legend Greg Rohr (three-time Swiss Confederation) is excited about. Reichmuth condition coach Tommy Herzog also exudes a great deal of confidence: “Bermin is the absolute perfection. During the time he had to rest his knee, he trained his upper body extensively. That’s why I rated him physically even more than three years ago” .
Chill before returning to Aargau
But his crazy biography would not suit him if things went smoothly for Richmouth in the immediate preparation of the confrontation in Aargau. The 27-year-old has had a bad cold for a few days. However, there are no disturbances in the Reichmuth clan. “I’m sure that cold is a good omen for Bermen,” says Tommy Herzog, who, in addition to Reichsmuth, also grinds King Christian Stocky and Andreas Doble into the strength and endurance area. Herzog’s reasoning: “If Bermine had been so fit these days, he would have been messing with his mind about his opponents all the time. That’s not exactly the case now because he should see he can beat this cold. And I’m sure he’ll be able to do that by Sunday “.
