  • The Swiss Football League opens another case against Alex Frey. Aarau's coach is said to have entered the referee's box after the match in Schaffhausen and complained violently.
  • Frey has already been suspended for the next match against Baden as he picked up his fourth yellow card of the season at Schaffhausen.
  • Fry also has until Thursday to submit a written statement about the incident.

Swiss Football League writes in one Announcement on Tuesday“Disciplinary proceedings have been opened against Aarau FC coach, Alex Frei, for his behavior following Friday’s match in Schaffhausen.” He continued: “After Friday’s match in Schaffhausen (1:1), the FC Aarau coach entered the referee’s box without knocking on the door and complained strongly to the fourth official.”

Fry has until Thursday to respond to the incident in a written statement. Frei has already been suspended for the Aargau derby against FC Baden next Saturday – as he received his fourth yellow card of the season against FC Schaffhausen.

The last clash with Fry at the position was just a few weeks ago. At the start of February, he was banned for three matches for an “ugly gesture” – showing fans the middle finger in a 2-1 away win over Baden. After FC Aarau officials objected, the ban was reduced to two matches.

Fry: “I'm trying to be a little cooler.”

In Home Game Football Talk, Alex Frei talks about his personal development as a coach.
