The new flagship is getting closer, and the first data has already leaked weeks before the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 event.
A new chipset will be released in the next few weeks, which we will then see in many high-end smartphones. Xiaomi will rely on it in its new 14 series, and Samsung is installing Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in its Galaxy S24 Ultra. But what improvements can be expected?
The first data is leaking slowly and it doesn’t look like we can expect a significant CPU boost. The results of the first test show only a 16 percent increase in the processor compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
But things are very different with the new GPU, as the new Adreno 750 graphics seem to make the biggest possible leap. If you believe this preliminary data, the performance in the benchmark is actually 40 percent higher.
These values are still very early and basic data on the remaining devices is missing. But it has become clear that with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Qualcomm can once again offer a chipset that is also absolutely the right choice for smartphone gamers.
The first new smartphone will likely come with Xiaomi’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The Chinese Android OEM plans to showcase the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro shortly after Qualcomm’s event in October. However, Samsung should only install the new chip in the upcoming Ultra model.
