Paris – Nice: New Vingegaard before Pogacar

Tour de France winner Jonas Vinggaard took valuable seconds from Tadezh Pogacar on stage three of Paris-Nice and beat his Slovenian opponent in the overall standings. The Dane won the team time trial around Dampierre-en-Burly (32.3km) with Jumbo-Visma. Pogacar is now 11 seconds behind its rivals. Second place went to Education-EasyPost with Swiss Stefan Bisegger. Stefan Küng finished fourth with Groupama-FDJ. In the overall standings, Vingegaard is 5th, 3 seconds behind new leader Magnus Cort Nielsen (DEN/EF Education).

Tirreno-Adriatico: Jacobsen Race Winner

He lost the first race in Tirreno-Adriatico to Dutchman Fabio Jacobsen (Soudal). He won the second stage over 209 kilometers from Camorra to Follonica in Tuscany ahead of Belgium’s Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deconnink) and Colombia’s Fernando Gaviria (Movistar). Italy’s Filippo Ganna (Ineos) continues to lead the overall standings, 28 seconds ahead of Lenard Kamna (Gear/Bora-Hansgrohe) and 31 seconds ahead of team-mate Magnus Sheffield (USA).
