“Please help bring her home alive.”
An international march will also be held in Basel on Saturday, highlighting the suffering of the kidnapped in the Gaza Strip.
On Saturday 4 November, a licensed action was in place on the Middle Bridge from 7.30am. Swiss, Israelis, Jews and non-Jews gathered early in the morning at the bridgehead at the Les Trois Rois hotel. The group then covered the fence of the two bridges with balloons, clothes, stuffed animals, and a poster of each of the kidnapped Hamas hostages.
The posters bore the names and ages of the hostages, followed by the following text: “On October 7, approximately 240 innocent civilians were kidnapped from Israel to the Gaza Strip. Their whereabouts are still unknown.”
He continues: “More than 3,000 women, men and children, ranging in age from 3 months to 85 years, were injured, killed, beaten, raped and brutally separated from their loved ones by Hamas.”
Passersby are also encouraged to take photos of the posters and share them. “Please help bring her home alive.” QR code leads to the page Hijacked from israel.com.
International work
The event is a silent march held in different cities around the world. With the aim of returning the hostages to their homeland safely and as quickly as possible, “thousands of people in dozens of cities around the world hung pictures of the hostages and pasted posters that were circulated through Dropbox and that everyone could print themselves.” Read on the website.
In Basel, posters and decorations will be removed from the bridge railings at 4 p.m.
