Olympic figure skating champion Anna Jacir has finished her season in style with a place on the podium at the World Cup. The Carinthian came in third place in the slopestyle competition over Korvac in Silvaplana with 71.08 points, and only had to admit defeat to the Japanese Rira Iwabuchi (79.62) and Kokomo Murase (72.98). For the men, Clemens Millauer finished ninth in the round of 16 final.
After falling at the end of January during the X-Games in Aspen, Gasser said she had not yet reached 100 percent, but she showed an attractive performance in Switzerland. After an incorrect fifth-place finish in the first final round, the 32-year-old jumped onto the podium with the second-best result in the second round. “It was definitely not the hardest of my career technically, but it was enough to get back on the podium. I'm happy to be able to finish the season healthy and on the podium.”

The ÖSV model athlete was on the podium at all four World Cup matches this winter. She also achieved this feat in the previous two seasons. The last time Gasser missed the podium at a World Cup was three years ago. Murase secured the ramp-style crystal ball. Millauer made a mistake in his first round and showed a strong performance in the second with 65.94 points. Today's win went to Canadian Liam Brierley (88.10), who also won the Crystal in the discipline classification.
