AIDAcosma departs on its maiden flight with 3,000 passengers on board
Hamburg – The new ecological dream ship “AIDAcosma” (337m) is the new star in the port of Hamburg!
On Saturday, the cruise ship, shimmering like a palace on the Elbe, began its maiden voyage to Western Europe with 3,000 guests.

Swimming is possible all year round by the palm trees under a foil roof – the pools are in the “Beach Club” on deck 17

Ship watchers on the banks of the Elbe took hundreds of photos of the new liquid gas building, which cost about one billion euros, when they met the sister ship “AIDAsol” (253 m).

“Sometimes I hear stupid jokes about my hobby from my classmates. But I don’t care. I’m having fun!” says Kristof, who bought his first camera with confirmation money and already has more than 10,000 ship photos in his archive.

He is already looking forward to the ship’s christening on April 9th.
The first call ended “DJ Alle Farben” (“Music is my best friend”, Frans Zimmer, 36). Then cyclist Christina Vogel (31, 2x Olympic gold, 11x world champion) blew out a bottle of champagne at Kussmund-Bug.

Finally, after a harbor tour with a light show, “AIDAcosma” sails past the Elphi River as it sets off from the harbor!
