“Advent Festival of 100,000 Lights”: The guest laughs! “It is no longer possible”

Suhl in Thuringia is not necessarily the first address when you think of famous Christmas markets. Or even on big show stages. However, the city in southern Thuringia has been the scene of a great TV show for almost 20 years: “Advent Festival of 100,000 Lights” with Florian Silbereisen.

With the show, ARD essentially kicks off the Christmas season, with millions of viewers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland watching it live. There is a lot of dancing, a lot of singing and funny stories. Singer Ross Anthony is in charge of the gift tips, an Advent tradition.

Crazy: Ross Anthony has 13 Christmas trees

The new blonde presenter has some crazy ideas with him, which he proudly presents to Florian Silbereisen. Incidentally, he became known through the show “Popstars” on RTL2, where the singer-musician became a member of the group Bro’Sis in 2001. The 49-year-old now has his own successful show on MDR TV.

The ever-enthusiastic broadcaster admits: He’s completely obsessed with Christmas. He has 13 massive Christmas trees in his apartment, and there’s hardly a corner that isn’t decorated with fairy lights, nutcrackers or Christmas angels. This has been the case since October 15! It even has a hot wine stand on the balcony.

“How should I continue moderation now?”

Ross Anthony sings about “White Wonderland” because he really loves snow and Christmas trees. “I have a great talent that combines both,” he rejoices afterwards. It is a small Christmas tree that is constantly sprinkled with artificial snow. Then another great idea comes along.

He laughs and puts a “sofa to go” over Florian Silbereisen’s head. The thing looks like an oversized pillow with suspenders. “Nice and comfy, just tuck it in,” he said, laughing. “You can lie down, but you can’t get up again.” This is exactly what Florian Silbereisen fatally did.

He rolls helplessly on the ground like a guilty frog. “How am I supposed to maintain moderation now?!” He asks desperately. This really bothers Ross. The British pop singer can’t stand on his feet from laughing. He drags Flory off the unwieldy furniture to “go” and shouts “I can’t do this anymore!” The audience finds it funny.
