Nepalese police said a passenger plane carrying 22 people is missing. The machine disappeared from radar on Sunday morning. Police spokesman Bishnu Kumar KC said:

“We are trying to determine the area where the plane might be,” a Tara Air spokesman told AFP. A spokesman for the Nepali Ministry of Interior said that two helicopters were sent to search for the plane. However, the visibility in the area is very poor. It is likely that bad weather conditions will hamper the search process.”
Pokhara is the starting point for many trekking tours, including the Annapurna Circuit. Annapurna Mountains is a popular hiking area in the Himalayan country.
