Synology is currently aware of a security issue. It is rated as “medium” and affects DNS servers such as “Caschy . Blog“mentioned.
The attacks are performed via Synology DNS Server. Attackers do not need direct access to the server, but they can act remotely. The result is a denial of service (DoS) attack. As the name implies, these ensure that the corresponding service cannot be used.

Synology Vulnerability: A solution is in progress
The issue is listed in CVE-2021-25219. However, it affects not only Synology, but all systems that use a specific version of the BIND module (Berkeley Internet Name Domain Server).
