About three months after announcing his cancer diagnosis, King Charles III died. He attended a public meeting for the first time.
The 75-year-old visited a cancer center in London with his wife, Queen Camilla.
Charles will also become the new patron of Cancer Research UK, which promotes cancer research.
On the advice of his doctors, the British monarch is not attending any major public appointments at this time. However, he continued with affairs of state and, for example, took photographs of himself on his way to church services. On Tuesday, he visited a clinic in the British capital, where he was supposed to meet patients and medical staff.
The British royal family announced at the beginning of February that Charles was suffering from cancer. It is not known what type of cancer it is or how to treat the king. But it doesn't have to be prostate cancer. Charles had previously been treated in hospital for an enlarged prostate.
His daughter-in-law, Princess Kate, is also undergoing treatment for her cancer diagnosis. It is not clear when she will return to the public.
