Life By You: Life Simulation has been postponed once again

Clearly, things are not going well for Sims competitor Life By You, because as Paradox Interactive announced over the weekend, the game has now been delayed for a third time.

It seems that there is still a worm in the life simulator Life By You. Paradox Interactive has announced another postponement for a potential Sims competitor and is currently unwilling to set a new date. He said in justification

This appears to be larger construction sites and relatively shortly before the last mentioned date of June 4th. This is the third postponement since the announcement in March of last year.

“After careful consideration, we regrettably have to announce that we have decided to withdraw the June 4th release date for Life by You. This decision was not easy for us, especially as we know the anticipation and excitement of many players for the game. However, we believe the additional development time is necessary.”

“Although we would have preferred to commit to a new release window,” Paradox continued, “we believe it is wiser to wait for the release while we continue planning, rather than committing to a new date that we don’t know about.” “I'm sure we can stick to it.”

The title was originally scheduled to be early access in September 2023. This was followed by an initial postponement to March 2024 to review some components of the game. In February 2024, June 4th was set as the release date.

So, another entry in the long list of problem kids at Paradox Interactive. These include, among others, the inexorable failure of The Lamplighter's League, the disastrous launch of Cities: Skylines 2 as well as the repeatedly postponed Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 and numerous issues surrounding Prison Architect 2.
