Real Madrid tied with Valencia 2-2 in the 27th round of the Spanish League. Madrid's last-second goal is not counted because the referee blew his whistle shortly before.

Vinicius Junior brought Real Madrid back into the game after trailing 2-0. The Brazilian scored shortly before the end of the first half with a pass from Dani Carvajal and a header in the 75th minute.

Jude Bellingham almost scored the winning goal in the 99th minute, but referee Jesus Manzano blew his whistle after the last cross flew towards the English player's head, which upset Real Madrid players. They spoke so urgently to the referee that he showed red cards to both Bellingham and Antonio Rudiger.

“It's a fucking goal, the ball is in the air. What the hell is that?” 20-year-old Englishman Manzano is said to have said.

Real Madrid remains the confident leader, and is now seven points ahead of its first chaser, Girona.
