Bellinzona celebrates in front of Baden after only 8 seconds. Thon suffered a setback in her fight for promotion.
The match between Bellinzona and Baden had to be postponed for 30 minutes due to traffic problems. But then the fans immediately got their money's worth in the relegation crisis. This was the fastest goal ever scored in one of the top two Swiss leagues. Previously, the record was 10 seconds and was held by Ermir Lingani, Moussa Konate and Ifeanyi Mathieu. They have all scored in the Premier League. The fastest goal in the Challenger League was previously scored by Diego Quintero. In 2003 he succeeded after 11 seconds – also with Bellinzona.
Thon messed up
