The developers at Blizzard Entertainment have been working on a successor to the successful multiplayer shooter ‘Overwatch’ for a long time.
As confirmed shortly after the official announcement of “Overwatch 2”, the playable characters have been partially revised primarily in order to ensure a fresh gameplay experience as well as well-balanced battles. Over the weekend, Blizzard Entertainment brought us a new trio video in which the revised versions of Bastion and Sombra are discussed in more detail.
No release date in sight
More details about the enhanced or revised abilities of the two heroes can be found in the following videos. “Overwatch 2” is in development for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch and no specific release date has been set yet. But we should not expect the caliphate before 2022.

Instead, an Activision-Blizzard spokesperson indicated earlier this month that “Overwatch 2” is scheduled for release in the second quarter of next year. However, the whole thing has not been officially confirmed. In addition to the multiplayer battles familiar from the first part, the successor should also have something ready for single players this time around.
For example, PvE battles are in the corresponding story missions. What this will look like is yet to be revealed.
