Helge Schneider is 68 years old and still touring – with more than 70 shows scheduled in the coming months until October 2024.

There are also financial reasons why the comedian and artist is not yet thinking of quitting. As the musician revealed on ARD’s “Presant” programme, his pension isn’t even close to enough to live on – he can only pay his rent. “But I have to go back to the theater to eat so I can eat,” the 68-year-old said, despite having paid “a lot” into his pension fund throughout his life.

Rolf Schimpf can no longer afford a nursing home

It was only recently announced that 99-year-old TV star Rolf Schimpf had to leave the nursing home where he had lived since 2010 and had to move again. The actor, who became famous for the series “The Old Man,” could no longer afford to stay there.

His pension is not enough, as Schimpf’s public representative, who is also his doctor, told Bild: The residence is said to cost 5,700 euros per month, including all care costs. “for him [Schimpf] Running out of coal.
