Berlin/Cologne – If you’re planning a big special that will be watched by millions of viewers, you should take a good look at your calendar in advance. ARD and RTL clearly did not do this, because the two programs would overlap in time – one cult, the other private, and both are very large numbers.
Disney’s Big Anniversary Show: A festive evening with famous stars on RTL
We’re talking here about the special “Disney100 – The Big Anniversary Show”, which RTL will broadcast on December 2, and the “Advent Festival of 100,000 Lights”, which ARD will broadcast at the same time. The fact that these two shows overlap is not only annoying for viewers, but it’s also not a good plan when it comes to maximum ratings. Because on that evening, the audience will have to choose and divide, willy-nilly. However, many may have decided in favor of RTL, as Disney’s anniversary show is only shown on linear television and not in streaming.
The gala evening marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Walt Disney Company will be moderated by Thomas Gottschalk (73 years old) and Victoria Swarovski (30 years old).
