This model was developed specifically for larger rooms and, thanks to its two 192 mm titanium woofers, delivers powerful and dynamic sound with an impressive bass foundation. Impeccable surfaces painted in semi-gloss or high-gloss lacquer as well as elegant real walnut veneer with an expressive finish underscore the premium claim of the Townus 100.

Aesthetic design

The Townus 100 models are slim three-way floorstanding speakers that impress with their harmonious proportions and simple elegance. With its excellent finish and high-quality housing, it is an eye-catcher in every room. The Townus 100 speakers feature rounded edges, which not only improves sound radiation but also gives them a modern and elegant look. Screwless integration of the four actuators into the 230mm wide bulkhead is achieved using high-quality aluminum rings manufactured using a seamless diamond cutting process. This creates a smooth and aesthetically pleasing look. The Townus 100 models offer more visual features such as generously rounded, acoustically transparent fabric panels that magnetically adhere to baffles and slim bases with four height-adjustable metal feet that ensure a solid base for floor-standing speakers. Hidden at the bottom of the chassis, large bass reflex channels in a lower arrangement stimulate the listening room acoustically evenly and effectively.

Design and technology

The flagship Taunus 100 is distinguished by its efficient construction containing multiple reinforcements within the hull. The mid-range drivers are located at the top of the baffles and have separate sizes. As a result, the high-quality housings and chassis with titanium diaphragms provide ideal conditions for powerful sound with dynamic bass and detailed midrange. The bass drivers have solid, low-distortion dual cone diaphragms with a low-loss wave contour, allowing the Townus 100 speakers to always play accurately, even at high volume levels. Thanks to patented SC technology, the 192mm bass duo in the downfire bass reflex housing ensures powerful, accurate bass without uncontrollably deflecting the bass tweeter’s diaphragms during low notes. A precisely calculated waveguide optimizes sound radiation and coupling to the 25mm aluminum oxide ceramic tweeter, resulting in improved reproduction of up to 40,000 Hz.

Use the Townus 100 as your main speaker and combine it with other models from the Townus series.
