Adobe Photoshop's generative AI called Firefly is receiving a major update in its current beta release. There is now a text-to-image generator for the popular image editing tool, which allows the creation of entirely new content via text prompt. This feature was first introduced in Adobe Max in October 2023 (reported by “Swiss IT Magazine”).
According to Adobe, the text-to-image functionality can be used to generate and run many new ideas in a short period of time. Automatic image generation will also be expanded to include the already available “Generative Fill” feature: a new reference image can be uploaded, on which the newly created content will be based. There is also a new function that can be used to create wallpapers. They are also generated based on a text prompt and take into account various factors such as shadows and perspective of the isolated object, which will be placed in a new scene.
Access to the beta channel for Adobe apps, and more information about participating in the beta program and opportunities to provide feedback to Adobe It can be found here.
