Steer. Gregor Ramskogler (ATSV Steyr Tennis) brought his life back to Austria after completing his master's degree in America.
“For the past five years, I have had an ideal training environment in Mississippi and I also found that at the TAF Academy in Amstetten. After completing my basic military service as one of the best athletes in the Austrian Armed Forces, I will focus Completely on tennis.
The 25-year-old proved that he is in good form at the State Indoor Championships in Ansfelden. As the top seed, Ramskogler won his preliminary rounds without dropping a set. In the semi-finals he met defending champion Johannes Brammer. In an exciting match he defeated them 6:7, 6:2 and 6:4 and in the final he faced German League player Simon Traxler from UTC Steyr. At first it all looked like a victory for Traxler. After losing the first set, Ramskogler was able to control the match more and more and was crowned national indoor champion with scores of 4:6, 6:4 and 6:1.
