- Austrian Jan Hörl wins the third competition of the Four Hills Championship in Innsbruck.
- At the top of the overall standings, Japanese Ryoyu Kobayashi (second) replaces German Andreas Wellinger (fifth) in the lead.
- Gregor Deschwanden is 24th, and Simone Ammann misses the final round (39th).
The third competition of the Four Hills Championship caused a change at the top of the overall standings. Ryoyu Kobayashi will travel to the final in Bischofshofen on Saturday as captain. As in the previous two competitions in Oberstdorf and Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the Japanese took second place in Innsbruck (128.5m/132m).
The two-time Tour winner only had to concede defeat to Jan Hurl in Bergisel. The Austrian was already in the lead after the first round and withstood the pressure in the final round (134m/127.5m). Behind Hörl and Kobayashi, Austrian Michael Haibueck completed the podium.
Former Tour leader Andreas Willinger had to settle for fifth place in Tyrol. In the overall standings, he is now 4.8 points behind Kobayashi, who is only about 2.5 meters behind.
Dishwandin lags behind
Gregor Deschwanden gave a mixed performance. After the Lucerne native missed the final round of the New Year's competition in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the Swiss team leader confidently reached the second round in Innsbruck thanks to a 129-meter flight.
But on the second jump, Deschwanden landed after 113.5 meters in difficult conditions and lost a lot of ground. The 32-year-old fell from 16th to 24th place.
Simone Ammann was not in the final of the top 30. Toggenburger (113m) clearly lost the duel against Hayböck (131m) and had no chance of getting one of the lucky losing places. The 42-year-old ranked 39th.
