The winner of the match and the best player
Thanks to Hischier, the demons continue to expand their chain
Nico Hescher and Jonas Seigenthaler are riding a wave of success, and two other Swiss can celebrate too. Roman Josie and Nino Niederretter, among others, have fewer reasons to feel happy.

Nico Hescher (left) can be celebrated as the match winner.
The New Jersey Devils claimed their seventh straight win by winning 3-2 at home against the Calgary Flames. And their leader, Nico Hescher, scored in the fifth consecutive game.
This time, Falasi provided the decisive pass to equalize 1-1 in the second half before scoring the winning goal in the 52nd minute.
The Devils had 10 wins after 13 matches. Only in 1993-94, a year before their first three Stanley Cup titles, did they rack up ten wins so early in the season.
Hischier was voted the best player in the game, but Vitek Vanecek also got plenty of praise. The Czech goalkeeper saved the Devils 33 times. With some of them it makes the opponent, who has to accept his sixth defeat in a row, utter despair.
Siegenthaler goal does not count
The two goals of demons were canceled after studying the video. Defender Jonas Seigenthaler scored the first goal. Much earlier infiltration was found.
“We have a lot of self-confidence,” Nico Hescher said after the match. “We didn’t show our best game here. It was difficult. But we found our way back to the match. When you finally win matches like this, it’s great.”
In addition to Hischier, Janis Jérôme Moser and Kevin Fiala can also party. Moser has an assist in Arizona’s 4-1 win over the Buffalo Sabers. Viala failed to score in the Los Angeles Kings’ narrow 1-0 win over Minnesota.
The other Swiss are losing
Roman Josie and Nino Niederretter have fewer reasons to feel happy. They conceded a 5-1 slap with the Nashville Predators of the Seattle Kraken. Pius Sutter also leaves Ice as a loser. He offers to help make the score 2-2 and is instrumental in helping the Detroit Red Wings save themselves in overtime. But in the end, the Montreal Canadiens won in a penalty shootout.
It’s also a tight defeat for Dennis Malgin with Toronto against the Golden Knights (3:4 next). (BIR/SDA)
