How to change the display settings of the Nintendo Switch OLED

You just got your Nintendo Switch OLED model but the screen isn’t quite what you expected? Don’t worry, the Nintendo Life Video Producer by Nintendo Life Zion Grassl has the solution!

Be careful – if you change the screen brightness settings on this new OLED model, you risk getting burned.

Here are some ways you can improve your screen brightness:

> Press and hold the HOME menu, adjust the brightness and deactivate the “Auto-brightness” setting.

“Please increase the brightness with caution, it is probably best to leave the auto brightness on, but if you want more brightness from your screen this is how to increase it – just be careful.”

Alternatively, you can follow these steps:

> Scroll down to the System Settings icon in the main menu, scroll down to System, scroll down to Console screen colors in that menu and switch from Alive to Standard.

“You’ll find that the screen looks a little more natural and a little softer to the eyes…Depending on the game you’re playing, you might want to turn it back on.”

Again, this is done at your own risk – but hopefully these additional options will make your time with the new Switch OLED model even more enjoyable.
