On the YouTube channel Mrwhosetheboss, there are regular tests on the uptime of iPhones and this time, of course, the whole new series has been tested: iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. iPhone 13 Mini was also tested.
iPhone 13 Pro Max reached the number one position with its large battery and it lasted 9 hours and 52 minutes with continuous use. The YouTube channel operator confirmed that this was the first result of all smartphones tested so far. So if you are looking for a smartphone with a very long battery life, you need the iPhone 13 Pro Max, but this also has several drawbacks: it is too big and too expensive.
The smallest model in the new series is the 5.4-inch iPhone 13 mini. It lasted 6 hours and 26 minutes. iPhone 13 has a battery life of 7 hours and 45 minutes. That’s nearly two hours more than the iPhone 12, which lasted 5:54.
iPhone 13 Pro had a runtime of 8 hours 17 minutes in Mrwhosetheboss’s test.
To document progress once. The iPhone 11 reached 5:08 hours, the iPhone 11 Pro reached 7:36 hours, and the iPhone 12 Pro was a disappointing 6:35 hours.
Why do new iPhones last longer? On the Pro model, it’s mainly due to the variable refresh rate display, the A15 SoC, and the larger battery. Remember, the iPhone 13 mini has a 2,406 mAh battery, the iPhone 13 has a 3,227 mAh battery, the iPhone 13 Pro has a 3,095 mAh battery, and the iPhone 13 Pro Max on a 4,352 mAh battery. The iPhone 12 mini had a battery with a capacity of 2227 mAh, the iPhone 12 had a capacity of 2815 mAh and the iPhone 12 Pro had a capacity of 2775 mAh. The iPhone 12 Pro Max has a 3,687 mAh battery.
