Singapore Airlines is one of the best airlines in the world and has already won many awards in the past. Now the airline wants to convince you of the WLAN service. Internet access can now be used in all classes of travel without time restrictions.
According to Singapore Airlines, free internet access is currently available on 129 of the 136 aircraft. The only exception is seven Boeing 737-800s, because they are not equipped with WiFi. So you can take advantage of the free offer on your long-haul flights to Singapore or other airline destinations.
Previously, free and unlimited Wi-Fi access was reserved for passengers in suites, first class, and business class. In Premium Economy Class, there was a three hour limit and in Economy Class there were two hours free.
conditions
Membership in the Singapore Airlines frequent flyer program is required for free entry. This is called KrisFlyer and you can earn miles with it on many flights. You can register for the program here for free if you are not registered there yet.
You must then enter your KrisFlyer membership number online at the time of booking your flight Reservation management Or entered at the latest upon check-in. Please note that free entry is in Economy Class and Premium Economy Class Only applicable if KrisFlyer membership has been deposited in advance. So it may not be possible to earn miles using another program and take advantage of free WiFi.
However, there is a small limitation with this free service: video streaming and calls are not allowed with it.
Conclusion
Singapore Airlines is one of the first airlines to offer unlimited internet on long-haul routes. Especially for all those who want to work during a long haul flight, they now have the opportunity to do so without paying expensive extra fees.
But there are two drawbacks: One is the inability to stream videos or make calls. Calls remain blocked in the first place without consideration for other passengers, video streaming due to high data consumption. In addition, Internet access appears to be related to the Singapore KrisFlyer mileage balance. This is not always the best option.
