News for Bing and Copilot

It’s been just over a year since ChatGPT was launched by OpenAI (November 2022) – and it’s quickly taking over. Since then, hardly a week goes by without an announcement of a new AI product or feature. And in the middle of it all, of course, is Microsoft — both as a major investor in OpenAI and with its own products in the form of Bing and its many co-pilots. And now Microsoft has announced what to expect from Redmond in terms of AI technology in the next few months.

Above all: using the latest AI model from OpenAI – GPT-4 Turbo. According to Microsoft, this will soon be the basis for co-pilots, which will enable more complex and longer missions to be carried out. Testing is scheduled to begin with select users in the next few weeks. Thanks to GPT-4, deep search will soon be available — which, according to Microsoft, should enable “improved search results for complex topics.” The Dall-E image generator is also getting a new model in version 3. It’s already integrated into Bing and Copilot.

Edge has a feature called Inline Compose through which you can tag a block of text on any website and Bing will then output it in a reworded form. The feature will be rolled out soon to all Edge users.

A little further into the future lies a feature that Microsoft is currently calling “Code Interpreter.” This should also allow for complex tasks such as more precise calculations, coding, data analysis, visualizations, more complex mathematical tasks, and more. We are currently collecting feedback and verifying the people we want to give access to for the first tests. (Wins)
