After a short slump, the SCL Tigers have bounced back and managed to pick up some points recently. Thanks to their 3-0 win today, the team now ranks tenth in the standings.
The Emmentalers start the match with the same lineup as the previous day against Zug, which they won after extra time. The only change: Stephane Charlin replaces Luca Bolchauser in goal. The Emmental team is off to a successful start. On the third good chance the puck goes in. Samuel Erne gives the SCL Tigers a 1-0 lead with a beautiful goal. As a result, Kloten defends himself more, but the rest of the first third is scoreless.
In the second trimester, the situation seems a little different. The home team from Kloten puts more pressure on them and has some good chances, but fortunately they cannot convert any of them. The SCL Tigers also can’t get the ball into the opposition’s goal, which is why the Emmentalers still lead 1-0 after the second half.
The last twenty minutes go as planned. Once the final third began, new signing Sakko Minalainen scored his first goal for the SCL Tigers and brought the score to 2-0. After that nothing happens for a long time before things start to get tough for the home team from Kloten and they take off their goalkeeper. Harri Pesonen coolly takes advantage of this and shoots the ball into the empty goal. SCL Tigers won 3-0 and secured three important points.
Next Friday, October 13, the Tigers take on the ZSC Lions away from home.
