Regardless of whether you’re using the thing or not, live view or a quick glance is one of the most important features on Google’s Pixel smartphones. The functionality is the only real Google functionality that’s actually in every press photo and is an integral part of the lock screen and start screen.
Now the feature is coming to the Pixel Watch. So there may not be a major update to Wear OS 4, but there are new features. Although we know from the recent past that the discovery of new features does not necessarily mean that there will be a rapid rollout.

It is likely that the smartwatch version will display a little less. Currently colleagues assume information about the weather and upcoming dates, but that’s a bit much if you look at the many options of the smartphone app.
Google will plan live display as an added complication, so that it can be integrated into the watchfaces of your choice. The new feature is likely to be introduced at Google I / O 2023 or a little later with the Pixel Feature Drop, which will be released in June of the year.
