Goalball: Chile men’s national team moves forward in Santiago 2023

The Chilean men’s national goalball team is, rightly and properly, part of a limited group of unbeatable teams at the Pan American Games – Santiago 2023, along with Brazil and the USA.

Mexico on the first day (8-4) and Colombia today, the second day (1-4), make the host national team a sensation among the continent’s sports stars. José Andres Carvajal scored the first goal of the match in the first half, but 24 seconds after the break, Zinfredi Mendoza scored for Colombia.

In the second half, a real showman named Fabian Jesus Villanueva came on. His three goals secured the victory, much to the delight of the crowd. The first was scored at the beginning of the second half, and the other two goals were scored in the last two minutes of the match.
