Spanish League: Barcelona only draws in Granada
Barcelona maintained their unbeaten record in their ninth match of the season in La Liga, but lost for the third time. In Granada, the Catalan team was trailing 1-2 until the 85th minute before Sergi Roberto equalized. Given the proportion of the game – Barcelona had more than 80 percent of the ball – this was more than deserved. In stoppage time, Joao Felix scored the supposed winning goal. But 3:2 was canceled due to offside, that’s why it stayed 2:2. Barcelona is now 3 points behind leaders Real Madrid in third place.
French League 1: Montpellier-Clermont match cancelled
The confrontation between Montpellier and Clermont ended prematurely in stoppage time when the score was 4-2 to the home team. The cause was the explosion of firecrackers in the immediate vicinity of Clermont goalkeeper Maury Diaw. Diaw, who played for Lausanne Sport between 2019 and 2022, fell to the ground and had to be carried on a stretcher. Fabian Rieder also participated for Rennes later on Sunday. In the 1:3 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, the Swiss was substituted in the 71st minute.
