SRF – Beat Schlatter looks a bit embarrassed when he learns during a live broadcast from SRF that he and presenter Cornelia Boesch are already on the air.

Little did the Swiss actor know at first that presenter Cornelia Busch could actually be watched live on the air. While talking about why he wasn’t seen in union gear, the 61-year-old suddenly said, “But we haven’t been up in the air yet, have we?”

Boesch amusedly replies: “We’ve been on the Beat show for a long time, and now you’ve got to get yourself together.” Schlatter reacts slightly awkwardly, whereupon Boesch directs the conversation to Sechseläuten.

“What do you find so cool about that?” the SRF presenter asks. Pete Schlatter replies: “It’s a traditional event in Zurich and it’s a great honor to be able to run here.” The actor also mentioned that it is a very special honor to be the Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Hürlimann Rappe”.

“We were allowed to come here with a large cart with four people. And we were able to pour beer to the right and left of the spectators,” says 61-year-old Bea. Did he have a beer or two of his own?

At the end of the conversation, Schlatter finally has to estimate when “Böögg” was burned and he puts it over 45 minutes. Shortly thereafter, he also apologizes to Bush for the initial confusion: “Usually someone tells me when it starts. At first I thought it was some kind of private conversation.”

He laughs and says, “Luckily we stayed fit.”
