Studio Wildcard certainly imagined it differently! After there had already been some discussions about ARK: Survival Ascended in the lead-up to publication and the PC release, the Xbox release has now been delayed once again.
ARK: Survival Ascated has finally been available for PC since the end of October, but the Unreal Engine 5 remaster has not gone according to plan since then. Console versions for the Xbox Series
In fact, the goodie was already supposed to be available on Microsoft’s console, but the certification process at the console manufacturer initially took longer. The release was still supposed to happen this week, but now it’s clear: it won’t work! Reason: There were “some unexpected issues” during the certification process, which is why Microsoft apparently didn’t approve it.
In short: Studio Wildcard now has to rework it and then submit a new version of the game. Microsoft will then start the certification process again and check whether the unidentified issues still exist. It is hoped that we will be able to provide a new update by the end of this week; In the best case scenario, the Xbox version could be released at the beginning of the new week. The original target was November 14.
Regarding the PS5 release, we are in direct contact with our partners and Sony. We’re currently still on schedule for the game’s planned release for PlayStation 5 at the end of this month. New updates will follow on the specified date in the coming days once significant progress is made in the release process.
ARK: Survival Ascended has been available in Early Access on Steam since the end of October.
