Expansion after expansion, with this wisdom the Pokémon TCG has lived on for many years. In fact, we are still “before expansion”. Because “Developments in Paldea” will only appear on June 9 in this country.
However, The Pokémon Company offers a timely look into the future. asked the man “flame obsidian” Ahead, the next expansion that will introduce the Tera Crystal Pokémon-ex variant on August 11th.
For example, Trainers will see Charizard-ex as Darkness-type instead of the usual Fire-type, and Tyranitar-ex as Electric-type instead of the usual Fighting or Darkness-type. When attacking, Tera Crystal Pokémon-ex require the same energy as their regular type, but they have a different weakness that matches their new type.
The same rules apply to these cards as in previous Pokémon-ex: when a Tera Crystal type Pokémon-ex is knocked out, the opponent takes two prize cards instead of one. The Obsidian Flames expansion will feature 15 new Pokémon-ex cards and six Tera Crystal Pokémon-ex and beyond:
- 12 Pokemon: rare, spelled
- 6 Pokemon Cards and Supporters: Rare special art
- 12 super rare Pokemon-ex and Supporter cards full screen
- 3 Ultra Rare Gold Embossed Cards
As always, participating retailers will have various booster packs, high training chests, and special kits. Also featured is the Charmander promotional card that will be included in every Elite Trainer chest. The Pokémon Company also notes that the cards will debut on the new Pokémon TCG Live app on August 10, the day before.
Also comes with a gift: “Upon login, the Crimson & Crimson Battle Pass – Obsidian Flames Battle Pass rewards players with a new deck that contains Darkness-type Charizard-ex. Players can also unlock an additional Premium Deck featuring Tenterra-ex by redeeming crystals that have been acquired. Obtained from completing daily tasks.
