FC Zurich missed the second half in the Premier League relegation battle against St. Gallen. Sion is still the last one, but she is still hoping for a happy 1-1 draw against Lucerne.
FCZ led 2-0 in a direct duel against St. Gallen in the third to last round. The relegation risk seemed to be practically over, but St. Gallen arose and came through Lucas Gortler and ikopuicki Adamu to equalize.
Sion trembles to win the point
Like Zurich and St. Gallen, Sion also scored one point, not three. The Valetian failed to clear the bottom of the table after seven rounds, but managed to catch Vaduz with a superb draw. Jared Khas equalized in the 90th minute after Lucerne missed 2-0 several times with some inability. Vaduz lost 2-0 to YB on Tuesday.
Lausanne defeats Servette
In the Lyman derby, Lausanne Sport preserved its chances in the European Cup with a 4-1 victory over Servet. The difference between third-placed Genevan, who lost heavily for the second time in a row, and Vaud’s newcomer, who tied with Lucerne in fifth place, was only one point.
The two clubs from French-speaking Switzerland are very close to each other because Lausanne has scored ten points out of a possible twelve from their direct confrontations. With two packages, Servette further weakened in the last 20 minutes.
