The first Swiss premium economy class flight is scheduled to take off in March
The Swiss airline today presented its first premium economy class aircraft.
The Swiss airline today introduced its first newly introduced premium economy-equipped aircraft at Zurich Airport: the Boeing 777-300ER. According to the announcement, the new class will initially be introduced gradually on twelve Swiss aircraft of this type. The device shown today will be used between Zurich and Miami from the beginning of March. The next destinations to follow are San Francisco from mid-April and São Paulo from the end of April. At the end of May, Premium Economy Class will be available on all Boeing 777-300ER flights.
Compared to the “normal” economy class, passengers have a distance of 20 cm more than the front seat, in addition, the seat is a few centimeters wider. Each Premium Economy seat has a 15.6″ screen. According to other Swiss reports, passengers in the new class will receive noise-reducing headphones and a travel kit.
The culinary offering is also tailored to suit the new class of travel. Travelers receive a welcome drink and can choose from a selection of three hot dishes. With two pieces of baggage each weighing 23 kilograms, passengers have double the baggage allowance in Economy Class.
