Freiruum in Zug, one of Switzerland’s biggest temporary uses, is back again: After the Freiruum Sports Hall is already operating normally, the porch will reopen on Friday from 4pm.
This was expanded in the context of the first coronavirus lockdown last year. With the upcoming reopening, on-site seating options in the adjacent parking lot will be expanded to a total of 450, the operators write in a letter. From the weekend, guests can enjoy the sun with a refreshing drink from the bar and fine dining from the market hall in the ample outdoor area – at least that’s what the Freiruum officials want.
An additional 450 seats are on the Freiruum Terrace
In addition to the market hall with several food stalls and a large selection of bars, the Freiruum area also has a number of workplaces and function rooms. In addition to the trampoline park and parkour area, the associated gymnasium houses the second largest rock hall in Switzerland.
All food stalls can be reopened after they are closed. The new wing with Swiss specialties will expand the range on site (reported by Zentralplus). Guests can pick up dishes directly from the stands in the market hall and have them either on the terrace or as a snack. The bar runs directly through the outdoor bar, where the staff prepares summer drinks.
With a sophisticated security concept in place, Freiruum wants to ensure a safe environment, as stated in one of the messages. Only the weather can frustrate the reopening of the porch. Because rain is currently being reported at the end of the week. It remains to be seen if Peter is still nice to the Freiruum operators.
