Why Dachser is acquiring in Australia and New Zealand

ACA International employs 56 people and generated sales of around 75 million euros in 2021. The air and sea freight forwarding company was established in 1982 and is privately owned. ACA International provides integrated international transport services to its Australian and New Zealand clients. The company has a strong focus on quality, efficiency, innovation and collaboration and relies on the use of modern information technologies.

The company is headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, with two additional offices in Sydney and Brisbane. In New Zealand, ACA International has offices in Auckland, Wellington and Hamilton. The company also has another branch in Kansas City, USA. ACA International is also present in the Greater China region. However, the Chinese locations are not part of the acquisition, as Dachser has been serving its customers in China at its own locations since 2003.

An experienced man

ACA International has been managed for 14 years by experienced air and sea freight logistics specialist Adam Cruttenden, who will take over as Managing Director of ASL Oceania in the future. “With the acquisition, we continue Dachser Air & Sea Logistics’ growth course and close the gap in our global network of home destinations with Australia and New Zealand,” says Edoardo Podestà, COO ASL and Managing Director of ASL Asia 2 Pacific. “We offer our clients unfettered access to markets characterized by a dynamic economic environment, attractive location conditions and high investment activity.”
