House bankruptcy against the newcomer!
Vladimir Petkovic has to concede defeat to Claremont Foot, who did not play in Ligue 1, 2-0 at the start of the league. A late double kick from the guests breaks the neck of Petkovic’s men. Bayo opened the scoring in the 82nd minute, and Yodel Dosso opened the scoring in stoppage time.
Petkovic will support his wife Liliana and daughter Lea when he returns to football. The two found themselves in the stands.
Not much fits in at Bordeaux, and Clermont’s victory is not stolen after a 19:10 shot ratio. Loris Benito, who Petkovic started forming and replaced after 63 minutes, can’t do much about it either.
So there is a lot of work waiting for Petkovic after the failed start. The trip will continue next week with an away match at Olympique de Marseille. (red)
Meanwhile, another Swiss starred on the international scene: Michy Frei scored all five (!) goals in the Belgian League in Antwerp’s 5-2 win over Liege. More here!
